Keiki Swap meet
Jordan made $38.38 by selling her Dora dolls and books. As soon as we got to the park and laid out the mats, Jordan started to set up shop. I didn't even have to tell her anything, she did it on her own. She helped drag bins from van and opened them and laid out all her dolls. She's such a hard worker. She must get it from me. Thanks to grandma and grandpa, we didn't have to worry about Rennan. Thanks to U.S. for his tents, mats and chairs. Thanks to cousins and aunty for man-power. Good Job everyone, see you again in 6 months.

Rennan had to get minor surgery at Kapiolani Hosp. We admitted him at 5 am. Prep was at 7am. Actual procedure was over by 9am. They had to put him to sleep for an hour.

He was such a trooper that we could leave by 11:30 am. Picture is taken in waiting room before procedure. This was one of the nerve recking days yet. He was only 8 1/2 months old.

All the nurses said he looked so cute in the patient's outfit with his hair sticking up.

I'm so glad in not in the medical field. I can't deal with what the children go through. While in recovery, I witness a 8 year-old boy screaming for him mom. He just got through with his second eye surgery. It was all bandaged up. I'm so glad Rennan was too young to understand mommy wasn't there during his surgery. The doctor said that Rennan did great and the nurses took good care of him. He was just getting up when I saw him in recovery room trying to suck his thumb but the oxygen mask was covering his face. Nurse helped him find his thumb.

Thank goodness the Almighty is with us.

Time flies when you are watching Rennan. Always full of excitement.

I'm posting pix from the past months since Oct. Rennan started taking his first steps during Thanksgiving time, but I missed it. He finally started walking 3-4 steps at a time week of Christmas and by New Year's he was all over the place. He loves walking down the store aisle and throw everything on the floor.

He had so much fun at his birthday. He was walking everywhere.

Rennan has been keeping us busy. for the past couple weeks, he's been sleeping through the night. Except for the past 3 nights awoke 2-3 times to feed. During the day, he screams his head off for no reason that we could figure out.
Last week, he started to recognize people. He knows his mommy and daddy and for a while would only let us hold him. He turns on his tummy now (only when he throws his tantrums) He grabs his bouncer toys well. But he loves his blanket to hold.
He's getting up.

Today, Jordan said the cutest thing. She told her cousin, Koa, "I Love You!" during dinner. Koa responded with scrunching his nose and disgusted face. He looked as if he ate a sour lime. Then, Jordan wanted to cry. She whined to me, "Mommy.... Koa doesn't love me!" Luckily, Uncle Eric was there to say, "Boys are different. We don't say those words." Jordan just looked confused.

11 1/2 weeks

Rennan's is getting signs of hand control. Besides sucking his thumb, today was the first time he grabbed my hand and pulled it towards his mouth to suck on it.
He can turn half his body to his side, when he gets really hungry and mad. Some nights he'll sleep through the night but other nights he'll still wake up for his 2 and 5 am feedings. This boy can eat and sleep at the same time.

This past weekend, we went to 2 birthday parties. Jordan said the cutest thing. This party is for all of Rennan's friends. There were 3 babies all less then 1 year of age. One of them even kissed Rennan. Jordan said that's Rennan's girlfriend.

Sunday-
We saw Grandma Do at the Honolulu Festival. She's on newspaper section B cover! Whoaaa Whooo! What a ham. That's where Jordan gets it from.

Both Jordan and Rennan loved the parade on Sunday. Monday, Rennan slept a lot according to his sitter. He must have been tired from all the excitement of sitting on Kalakaua from 4:30 pm till 7:30pm. Only in Hawaii will can you watch a parade that is sunny one hour and the next hour it rains. It was fun for the whole family.

2 month update

Rennan had his 2 month check-up today. He is more than 12 lbs. Head circum 15 1/2" Doc said he's proportional 75% growth curve. Jordan was 13 lbs. when she was 1 year of age. This boy can eat. Last night, Jordan's school had movie night. Rennan was so excited. He smiled and was moving his head side to side.... Looking for something. He couldn't figure out who was doing that talking. It was so funny.
Jordan loves being a big sister, but still wants to sit on my lap because I'm carrying baby brother all the time.

week 9

Mommy had to go back to work half-day this week. It's been tough. Rennan cries all day wanting to be comforted. Jordan told me not to go to work. She wants me to pick her up from school. I told her that she can pick me up from work.
Rennan loves attention. He needs someone to "talk story" with him. He smiles and laughs, but then in a split second he'll scream for something.
Today, Eddy and I overslept till 7:40 am. Jordan was late to school. Luckily, I didn't start work till after lunch. We are all adjusting to this tough week.

Sorry no photos... my camera is in the shop. Won't be ready for 20 business days. So my blogs will be boring for a while.

mom's last week of "vacation" or "maturnity leave"

Since we have a growing family, we had to get a "bus car". That's what Jordan calls it. Thanks Servco Toyota, especially Vikki for a smooth sale. Dealerships could be a hassle, but not this time. We got what we wanted with no negotiations or long hours waiting around.

My 8 weeks of taking care of Rennan full-time is up. Now, I have to make some $ and get paid. We all know that Eddy can handle this little boy. Rennan will be Fanny's youngest employee in the history of the family business. Let's just hope he doesn't eat all the profits or scare away all the customers.

Getting some zzzzzzz.....

Rennan is getting more sleep. Last night, he last ate at 8:30 pm. He kept grunting his usual ways. At 3:30 am, I tried to help him pass gas by pushing his legs into his stomach. Just a little relief. It must of hurt or woke him up, because he started to cry. I fed him and now he is knocked out.

Some nights of week 6 his sleeping habit was looking promising until 21st, 22nd. He woke up at 12am, 3am, 4am, 5:45am and 6:30am and stayed up for his morning exercise 7:30 am - 8:00 am. I stretch out his legs and have him do 'running in air' while on his back exercises. It helps him or distracts him while passing gas. If not he screams and grunts all morning.

Hi! Second child, Rennan Fong gets the hand-me-downs. He got Jordan's old clothes, blankets, car seat, stroller, crib, towels. He got stuff from my friend's kids too... playpen, bouncer. We haven't spent that much on Rennan; just the doctor bills, diapers and wipes and new bottles.

Jordan has been spending most of our money. Clothes... because she's growing so tall. Her feet grow every month. Her slippers and shoes don't fit. Preschool costs alot too. I don't think Rennan is going to Gymboree or Preschool. Poor kid.... he's only 6 weeks and he's already not as priviledged as first born. Is it because all he does is cry????
